‘Summer-skiing’ with a Mass Start, an Individual Sprint and a Mass Start Uphill
Italy celebrates its National Champions Matteo Tanel and Elisa Sordello
Next week the World Cup starts in Kazakhstan

When you wonder about Val di Fiemme you immediately start to think about the great acts of XC skiing heroes along the spectacular and intense Cermis uphill. The welcoming Italian valley not only is known as the XC skiing and winter sports “nest”. It also made its way with the so-called ‘summer-skiing’, representing a permanent stage in the Roller Ski World Cup calendar.
According to tradition, Trentino hosts the final competitions of the international circuit, from September 8th to 10th in Ziano di Fiemme and on the iconic Alpe Cermis. During these three days of competitions, Senior and Junior athletes are taking part to a FT Mass Start, a FT Individual Sprint and a CT Mass Start Uphill “Cermis Final Climb”.
The World Cup is about to take off and next week, from July 13th to 16th, the best roller-skiers gather in Schuchinsk in Kazakhstan. A month later, the World Championships take place in Italy (Monza-Brianza). The short yet intense World Cup circuit moves to Madona (Latvia) on August 18th-20th, ending in Italy for the great final act in Val di Fiemme.
Italy has been already showing off during the National Championships, with the brand new National Champions Matteo Tanel and Elisa Sordello, the strong points of the Italian team.
Val di Fiemme keeps on launching successful sport events with countless prestigious occasions organised by the O.C. Among World Championships and World Cup, the climax is coming in 2026 when Val di Fiemme is hosting the Nordic Skiing competitions of the Olympic and Paralympic Games of Milano Cortina, becoming one of the few locations hosting Olympic Games, World Championships and World Cups.
